The Mushroom People is a collection of 111 mushroom illustrations created by artist and muralist Olive47. In December 2022, Olive asked me to be a part of the Guest Artist Series for this project. Together there were twenty guest artists from across the world that took part in the Artist Series portion of this project. She was very intentional about the artists she asked to take part of the project, selecting artists with vastly different styles to create works based on a mashup of the illustrations she had previously created for the series. My guest piece was based on the Destroying Angel and Granada Natural Mycena Rosea mushrooms and is the only collage piece included in the project. I assembled all the components by hand, scanned them and then went in digitally to layer and clean up various sections of the piece.
